Student Rubrics?

What is considered the best practice as far as the rubrics are considered? Should students have rubrics while doing the assessment task? It seems that the rubrics give away the answers and are more used for assessing the assessment by the instructor.

The rubrics included as part of the teacher guide are not intended to be handed out to students in advance. As you describe, they are intended for helping the teacher in assessing, providing feedback, and deciding how next to proceed.

Can you please post a template for your student rubric so teachers can use it to make their own rubrics when making formative assessment tasks?

How do I assign the tasks to the students? Where do I see their answers? Is there a video that explains the process?
